We know that about 75 percent of adults with lifetime mental health disorders report their symptoms began in adolescence and early adulthood. And those same adults report it took an average of 8 to 10 years between the onset of their symptoms and the time they received treatment. Is it possible those adults would have more easily and quickly recovered if they had received care more quickly?
